Here are the visuals for what each seperate page may look like. I've only done the ones Mike has written and posted on the blogg so will get the rest done once he's posted the rest. As the pages looked a bit flat, i decided to introduce the original illutration on the page and knocked it back abit so it doesn't overpower the content.
Next stage would be getting all of theses on dreamweaver which me n Mike are doing, don't no if he knows tat yet though lol. cu all at tutorial!!!

animations
I reckon they're spot on Ravi, nice one. Really like the orange tree one. I'm thinking some of the backgrounds might look a little bit flat ... will have to see what it looks like on the layout mockups you're doing. Would be really easy to lay it on some texture or scanned paper or something to give it a bit of a lift.
Here are the plans for the animations helen and i drew up yesterday for the flash home page. Was playing on it last night and its gradually driving me insane, in a rewarding kind of way! Currently when I click on orange, the whole page kicks off. I've been tangoed.
See you tomorrow after the guest lecture!

Horn in hand
The yellow ace in the hole. During the day Horn disguises itself as a relaxed social, with a selection of appetizing meals, sofas and televisions, making it the perfect lunch hour. Where as by night reveals itself as the student bands place to kick it. Pitchers, pints and cocktails at discount price when supplied with a yellow card leaves even the most tolerable student with a hang over in the morning. Easily found by following Nottingham’s tram lines, a perfect place to stop off on your travels.
Bell inn
More of a history lesson than a drinking session. The Bell’s history is what keeps it in the top ten of Nottingham’s pubs. The bells underground tour of the streets gives another insight into Nottingham’s past. During the day, homes many elderly locals in a series of different rooms. Keeping them happy with rustic pub meals and its enticing selection of different ales. Where as by night attracts a much younger audience, with live bands and jazz nights. Easily described as “A local with a twist”
Pit and Pendulum
Nottingham’s own nightmare before Christmas. Being one of the most popular places in town, (much like a house party at the munsters) its almost a tourist attraction of drinkers. The Pit hosts a range of dim lit alcoves, torture devices, eerie cocktails and shots, perfect to boast about the next day. Its large menu caters simple food for families or as a quick bite to eat in town. Placed near to the centre of the town, the pit is easier to find than its own toilets . . .
Tap and Tumbler
A pub with the same amount of character as ozzy’s hotel room. The Tap is a cosy pub just a stone throw away from the royal concert hall, ideal as a stop off on the way home. The Tap has a worn interior and large oak bar that runs round the middle of the pub which hosts a large selection of fun drinks at reasonable prices. It also has a jukebox with a large selection of music, and a projector for those nights that something is worth watching on TV. It also aids those during the day with a cheap and cheerful full English. An unkempt pub perfect for the hell’s angel inside of you.
Oange Tree
A place to relax for the young professional. The orange’s chilled out atmosphere is aimed to help you unwind after (or during) your long day. Catering meals big enough even to fill the largest of us, and displaying artwork to entice the richer of us, the only thing you need to keep tight about will be your bank account. The orange is perfectly placed in between the local university and towns Victoria centre. It’s a warm, cosy pub with large sofas and oak tables to make it feel like home. Combined with its free wifi, you’ll be soon looking for your bed instead of the exit!

Also i was planning on doing a visual sitmap but again we have the type of problem, so what im planning on doiing is possible compositions for the pub pages. Theses will be similar to the ones we created with the dot and pin exercise just so we have a more polished version with a range of compositional style which we can than play with 2moro with the established visual language.

Tuesday, 13 November 2007
If anyone has time tomorrow it might be good to start coming up with some rough visuals and concepts for the site to talk through with the tutors on Thursday.. someone in the group A told me they advised against doing an interactive guide to pubs and bars. Bit late for that but as long as we come up with something clever I'm sure they wont mind! I've got some good ideas brewing..
See you Thursday at 11 :)
